Welcome back to part two of our series called To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.
Last time with looked at the importance of ‘time’ in every season, we will face in life ! We learnt that God has aligned a special time for each season we will face. They are not just random ! Also along with a special time for each season, God has also created an allotted time period, for each season we will face. Both of the above, are so important, to remember when we are in a bad, good or walking through a seemly, impossible season. As all seasons, have at ending period, a door awaiting for us, to walkthrough , into another season. The enemy would say you’re here or there forever ! But God’s declaration is, the season is only a season and as with all seasons. He has planned an end to the season and a doorway into another season. But the choice is ours, whether we believe this or not !
As our understanding of this will determine how long we stay in a season.
Whether it’s the allotted time period or an extended time.
Today we are going to touch base on another important thing, about seasons ! Each season has a uniquely special purpose assigned by God. If we miss this, we will stay in the season or re enter the season again. You might be saying, so whats the point of God allowing hard or seemly impossible seasons in our life’s ! The answer I believe, is found in
1 Corinthians 10:13 (TPT)
We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.
The Lord allows circumstances and seasons in our life’s for us to Trust Him more and grow in faith.
We all want to grow in faith. But Faith is like a muscle and takes action or movement ! I love this scripture, because it brings some clarity to tough situations and seasons we have or will face !
- That they are normal for all humans. So you’re not the only one facing what you’re facing ! There are some that have conquered it and some about to enter it, also some that are right in the middle where you are.
- God will be faithful to you, no matter what you’re facing ! His prospective of you and Love for you will never change.
- That God never sets us up to fail ! He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. In other words, He is setting you up to succeed and overcome. He has done His work and now you just need to do your work in faith too.
- The main purpose for all seasons is this one thing ‘each test is an opportunity to trust him more’. This is a very simple concept. This is a very important thing, that we need to remember, especially when we are in tough seasons, as it’s the overall purpose for the season. As we may all want to see and be used more by the Lord ! But with in all relationships at foundational level, is Trust. This will determine the hight and width of what can be built on top.
- Lastly, I believe the last line of the above scripture,is actually a question. Two different ways of coming out of a season. The first is ‘escape’ And the second, ‘coming out victoriously’ from the season. I believe that we can come out of a season by escape, which will mean one day we will re enter the season again. Or we can complete the season and come our victorious, which means that we will never have to enter the season again !
So to conclude this series, here is the main points
- Every season you are facing has been timed perfectly by God.
- Every season has a start and end, a slotted time period set by the Lord.
- He has already walk through and made sure you can be victorious. He has done this in human strength as a man. Remember this was done on the cross by Jesus. So He stands at the end, victoriously, calling you towards where He stands.
- Every seasons main purpose, is that by the end of it,we will trust Him more.
- Lastly at the end of a season are two doors one called escape. Meaning, we have not fully overcome, But learnt for next time, when we enter the same season. The other door called ‘victorious” meaning we will never have to go through that season again, as we have overcome it!
There is one last thing to remember!
Our victories over seasons, are for three reasons !
- To reveal how faithful and Good He is.
- To be a witness to the enemy, of how faithful and Good He is. Also how much He loves us !
- As a testimony to be shared with others, of how faithful and Good He is. Also how much He loves us ! So that others can have the same impact and breakthroughs, we have had . Prophesying His goodness to call and create a path for breakthrough for others …For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Rev 19:10
Challenge Time
- Find sometime to worship Him.
- I would like you to write-down as many seasons, as you can, of your life’s.
- Now look at each season, then write-down the incredible breakthroughs, opportunities or what you learnt from season.
- These testimonies are the fuel for your next battle or hard time. For they prove without a doubt God is Good.
- I want you to share each situation and testimony with at least 5 people.
Father I thank you for being so Good and faithful. We now understand that you allow difference seasons, as an opportunity for us to trust You more ! But also as we trust you more, You will led us towards the doorway to an incredible breakthrough where you are standing ! Then these breakthroughs testimonies, are our fuel for the next tough seasons we will face in our future ! Also for others, so they can see the same breakthroughs too. We give you all the Glory amen
