A couple of months ago I was talking to my father and during the conversation he said a comment that actually seem to identify with something in my spirit. He mention a person we both knew and said his problem was he was a ’gonna’. They are always gonna do many things, but never get around to doing any of them. I remember at the time thinking that’s me too.
In this lockdown season I have noticed myself and many others comments about of getting all types of jobs done they had put off, some for months and others for years.
These were our ‘Gonna list’ we thought we would do one day and even had prepare to do. But due to time, energy or distraction had put them off on many occasions. Now all these lists were finally being accomplished in this seasonseason of lockdown we have all been in.
My thought is this; what are the big Gonna’s in your life ? Those things you have always dreamed of doing. Those things you have even told many people on numoress occasionsare your gonna do?
In Matthew 25:14 we read the Parable of the Talents or Stewardship. How the master gave to three men different amounts and went away. When he returned he rewarded the two who gave him back an increase. As they were good Stewart’s with what had been given to them.
He says these words to them both in Matthew 25:21
‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
I believe the Lord is saying to you today, well done faithful servants you have been faithful by doing all those little things you have been putting off. Now it is time to do the same with the bigger things I have ask you to do. The Gonna list outside of your bubble.
This could be study, business, ministry or family. It could even be a holiday to visit a place or a person. Regardless of what it is. Let’s not allow the fire of what we have done in this time of lockdown, to stop when we walk out of it.
This morning the Lord showed me in a vision: a field, cut back, pplowed, prepared and planted. He said to me “Tell my people, don’t forget the harvest is still to come”
What I believe He was saying was: we need to take that passion, energy and testimonies of completion into the next season for with it the big Gonna’s will be activated and be done. This will lead you into the joy of your lord.’
So here is your challenge today.
1. What is on your big Gonna list to do ? Write these points down.
2. What can you do today to start planning for it ? Write these points down.
3. Ask the Lord for His guidance, leadings and direction for preparation, ignition and completion.
4. Thank the Lord for what He has show you.
Father I thank you that you talk even through the most unlikely people. That ‘Gonna ‘ is not Your way, as it does not lead to completion. Please show us today how we can turn this season of achievements into a journey of accomplishments in the future with your help. Amen
