I wonder what really halts our ability to dream, to imagine and hence to believe !
Jesus shares an interesting thought in Matthew 18:3 and Mark 10:15
Matthew 18:3 (NIV)
3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Mark 10:15 (NIV)
15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
What did He see in the children that was not in His disciples ?
I believe it was the ability to dream, an imagination that led to a trust and a strong belief. As adults somewhere along the way so many of us lose this.
As a result life becomes mundane, routine and loses it’s flare. Trust and belief can even become an effort.
I believe in this time of isolation it is time to kick start our imagination and start dreaming again.
Here a few ways to do this
1. What is that dream in your heart that you have always wanted to do or achieve ?
2. Maybe just sit with the Lord and ask Him to show you His dreams for you.
3. How can you help your husband,spouse or children in the fulfilment of their God given dreams ?
4. How can you help your employees fulfil their dreams?
5. Have you ever taken the time out to know any of the above people’s dreams ?
Joseph has a dream when he is 17, his father dismissed it, his brothers abused, rejected and sold him because of the dream . But this never stopped the Lord from fulfilling it . Gen 37:5-41) I believe the Lord wants to and will fulfil His dreams for you, your husband, spouse, children and employee’s or even your congregation. But this only will be possible when we start to dream again, trust and believe.
You never know what this time with the Lord in your new fired up imagination will reveal to you, through dreams of your future to come. For Joseph it was a Governer of Egypt and living in a palace, I wonder what He has waiting for you.
Father I ask that today you will grant you children the ability to dream again, that their imagination will be kick started into action in this time of isolation. I pray show them in depth your plan and purpose for them individually and corporately with others. Amen
