How do we, renew our minds and change how we think?-Part Two

Welcome to part two of our series How do we, renew our minds and change how we think?

In our last part we looked at what is happening in our minds. The things that lead us to think how we do and be who we are!

Lets recap!

It does not matter, how  prominent, anointed, gifted or how big one’s ministry and influence is. Everyone’s minds receive similar and  even the same kinds of thoughts. From the enemy, others and invitations  from God .

Add to this our own personal life experiences, which include both victories and failures. Also what we have seen happen, in other peoples lives. Through the media or  ones we love and know. Then on top of all this, words that have been spoken over us, both good and bad.  Now that’s a lot of stuff, all trying to contend for its rightful place, in your mind.

It is said, that the average person has between 6.5 and 48.6 thoughts per minute, depending on the study. This amounts to roughly 6,200 to 70,000 thoughts per day. No wonder we have so many confused people in the world.  That’s a seriously complicated equation going on, in all our minds,  right now !

But there are other problems our minds, are trying to figure out too. Building one’s values, ethic’s   and principles, that we believe in, act and live  from.  Constantly weighing these things, together with what the culture of the world is saying,  satan is saying and what the truth from God is.

If you look at what is happening in every mind of every person from this prospective.  It suddenly becomes clear why so many people are struggling mentally, emotionally, questioning their gender, sexuality and identity.  Then we looked at how to take every thought captive.  I included the following link for those who require help in this area.

Then we finished with a remarkable scripture that holds an incredible key. To thinking differently, with clarity, wisdom and understanding. This scripture has an invitation, that we will be looking at today!

Romans 12:2 (TPT)

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes

Did you see it!

……but be inwardly  transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think.

This  is an invitation to receive the mind of Christ !

But wait there is more !

………This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

So when we choose to allow the Holly Spirit, to  inwardly transform  us and bring a  total reformation to how we think. Our eyes and heart will be open, to  see and discern .  What the will of God is, for any situation, we will face. We get to see through  Jesus eyes and think like Him. Straight from  the revelation of the Kingdom.

I believe this very thing, apart from salvation, is the next most powerful invitation and promise we can ever receive.  In fact, I believe this is the way, we are called, to outwork our salvation. Opening the door  straight into the throne room. Where we will rule and reign  with Jesus !

As I was pondering and meditating on this, I had this question enter my spirit! When we give our lives to Jesus, the bible says we became a new creation according to 2 Corinthians 5:17.  But is there one thing, He does not change ? Could it be He leaves our mind the same ? Because of His desire to give us ‘Freedom’ to make decisions (Freewill)

If this is the case, we become a new creation. But still need to choose to surrender or old mind. So that by using our new minds, we can fully be, the new creation we have already become.

A few months back, I had a friend ask me a fascinating question. He told me he had seen many people, come to him with demons.  So he did as the bible says to do, he cast the demons out of these people, in the name of Jesus. Then prayed for The Holy Spirit, to now full the void in them. But when he saw these people  months later a lot of them had simply gone back to living the  same  way, they had always lived. He said “there seemed to be no real change” and this sadden him.

So he ask me why?  The Lord allowed me to answer this question, with an amazing revelation. “You can kick out a demon in the Name of Jesus. But you cannot kick out an attitude”  As an attitude takes a personal decision  to change. Followed by repentance and asking the Lord to help us change how we think.   Then from this new perspective, we can  walk and live in a new way.

I wonder then,  is it possible to see multiple or even a  complete change in our attitudes, mindsets and lifestyles all  at once ?

I actually believe the answer is yes!  The  answer is found in the above scripture Romans 12:2 . Instead of one at a time, we choose to lay down how we think. Then we  ask The  Father  to  inwardly transform us, by the Holy  Spirit (His Spirit). Starting through a total reformation of how we think. I believe this simple prayer can  actually rewire our minds, break mindsets, change attitudes and even change the lifestyles we currently live in.

But it also will bring freedom and peace, allowing us to have a greater clarity. In all situations we are in or will face in life. From this new prospective of seeing, hearing, discerning  through the  mind of Christ. We actually now become, who we were created to be. Ones who can discern  God’s will. Then position ourselves, for God to  perform His miracles of power through us. Which is where we will find,  a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

Challenge Time

Today’s challenge, is both simple and powerful. Which after al is what the full gospel truly is too. Also it will start at a place, posture and door way into the Kingdom ‘’Prayer’ .

Here is a prayer  invitation for you to pray.

Father I choose to lay down my mind at your feet.

I invite Your Spirit (Holy Spirit). To enter me and   inwardly transformed me. Starting through a total reformation of how I think.  Empowering me to discern Your Presence, Your  will and Your ways. So I can truly become, all who You created me to be, in its fullness.  Also accomplish all You have planned for me to do. So that I can live  a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. Thank you  Father, Thank you Jesus, Thank you  Holy Spirit. Amen

Father let it be, as it has been asked, by all who have prayer the above pray.  In Jesus Name  amen
