This community project called the Encounter Centre will be a place for equipping young people in creativity, we hope it will play a big part of community transformation for all ages in our area and further a far.
•The building will have a state of the art recording studio for the new sounds to be released through .
•3D Animation and recording studio for training and releasing short movies to the now generation.by
•A dance studio to tap into and release creativity through young and old .
•A space for creativity in poem, painting & written word.
•A school for writing songs producing them to release to the world awaiting for them
•A place to combining the creativity of 3D animation, a fresh new sound. To create/ design amazing new, safe, educational games and apps for all generations
•A sanctuary for the lost, and where people can discover their true identity and become valuable contributors to society
•A place open for those needing help with social services or counselling available with a holistic approach to provide relevant solutions for all cultures and ages.
Here is a quick brief of each space in the building and some few recent 3D adaptions
Auditorium
It will be used for displaying all that is created in the other spaces, in its grandness. The 3D animations will be displayed on a state of the art 3D 8K projector and massive pull down screen on northern wall partnered by 8.2.8 channel Dolby Atmos sound system. Here is what 11.2. 8 channel system refers to. It is surround sound system that consists of 11 channels of audio carefully placed around the room , 2 subwoofer channels and 8 height/ceiling channels(with extra wiring for future expansion) . It will sound amazing and give a true 3D experience to fit the new projects created in this building, when facing the north wall of auditorium .
When the room is set up to face towards the eastern wall direction. The audio will change, to create a state of the art audio system that allows music clarity so every seperate instrument and vocal can be honoured to the honour those who played or recorded them. There will be two 65” screens carefully placed with a 2 m space between them, this will be guest speakers information is need be display for audiences.
The chairs are super convenient, comfortable (with extra padding) and can be laid out in both directions. These chairs can be easily rolled away and placed in a cabinet between social work room and counselling room, in order to have an open space for dancing classes. On the northern wall there curtains that when pulled back will reveal mirrors for visual feedback; allowing dancers to evaluate the height and shape of their movement, to correct their placement, and to assess the line of their bodies.
Key Points:
This space will also be used as required for other activities requiring an open space, drawing painting and creative writing etc
Also a place for teaching and equipping with small groups of up to 35 people in either direction depending on requirements.
Also this space will be set up with pulldown green screen and projector screen on northern wall for larger groups for recording audio ,video and 3D animations. The ceiling that are being created for this area will be a rack ceiling with hang sound reflections and deadening inconspicuously hiding fibre optic star multi colour lighting, speakers and down lights to set the scene and create a culture of creativity. In front of Social work office will be a water cooler to make sure all are hydrated.
Social Work Room:
This room has been very carefully designed with handmade furniture, to allow for maximum space for families of up to 7 people. The office has been setup to allow social workers to address small or larger families requirements, needs and provide clear holistic approach. The room is designed with sound deadening to stop outside distractions while at the same time, coloured and decorated to provide a real warm friendly atmosphere. This room is setup with the latest use of audio/visual media for portraying or conveying information in ways easy understandable by all ages and intellect.
The Counselling Room:
This room is been once again design with special acoustic furniture, to allow for maximum occupancy for group counselling or groups sessions. But also keeping the intimacy, security, privacy and warm friendly environment for one on one sessions. Great detail has once again been made in sound proofing to allow for privacy and stop external distraction . Once again this room will be setup with the latest media system to allow counsellors to display information needed for design strategy to help people to navigate the struggles of life.
The Isobooth room
This room is design to be multi purpose it is first set up with top of the range soundproofing with multiple wall layers, also double doors to enter thorough. You will enter this room through a small passageway. This will lead you into a room with twin double glazed windows through to the main record studio. There is a state of the art acoustic couch for those supporting and to relax before record vocals or voice overs. The acoustic couch will have rollers so it can be moved to re arrange the room so to take advantage of a fully set up 3D animation suite. which is where rendering 3D animation movies or projects can be edited and mastered. This fully movable racked system can be moved to allow it to be use in the main auditorium or studio which are both set up with the requirements for smaller or larger projects. This room can also we use for an extra counselling room when required too.
Kitchen
The kitchen beside iso booth, this room is setup for small catch up’s over a coffee. With a warm environment, comfortable chairs and a table.
Toilet
The main recording/3D animation studio.
Both this room and the isobooth room are setup with soundproofing that may even being some of the best in New Zealand. We have given soundproofing in both these rooms a very high priority. In fact the whole building is been setup this way so every space can be used at the same time we will cover this later in the brief. This main recording/3D animation studio will be setup with the highest quality equipment, that can also be adapted for future adaption and expansion. This room looks back through the twin double glazed windows to iso booth to be allow for the personal approach for those singing or doing voice overs. This room can handle a small to midrange band setup (in main auditorium for lager bands and setups). So both can be mixed, mastered and match with a video then released to the world through multiple application’s electronically.
This room will be created in such a way, that we believe, will be a warm, inviting place. That actually breathes creativity and be a perfect environment to create from. At the north end is a risen ceiling that encapsulates a space for lights and projector which is perfectly setup to take full advantage of the pull down green screen/project screen for smaller 3D projects.

Standard of Excellence
As described above every space and room has been constructed to the highest standard with soundproofing as close to a rating on 1 (completely soundproofed) created so all rooms/spaces can be used at the same time with out interference from sound from each other. The recording and ISO booth room booth have solid double doors and all other room have single solid doors.
We will run 3 phrase into the building to meet the optimum requirements for energy for equipment and to run extra wiring so all spaces and rooms can be multifunctional for recording.
Healthy Environment/Setting That Creativity Will Be Discovered !
On top of all the above we respect the health and safety of all the people who come to work or learn in this place and with the recent pandemic and past cross transference from airborne contamination.
As a result our team, has created a brief to accommodate healthy air quality throughout each space or room. This has now been designed, and will allow for equivalent air flow of income and out flowing air while continuing containing heating/cooling of each space/room. This state of the art system will be to the equivalent air quality flow as if you were standing outside in a meadow. Creating the most amazing environment in every room to think clearly and create from.
This alone costing $109,000 (excluding GST) I feel to share this to allow you to comprehend the importance, we are taking to carefully plan,design and create to highest level of excellence in everything in this building !
