‘Why am I here’ ? Day 2

Thank you for joining with me on this 12 day journey of discovery and confirmation of your identity. I honour you, for who you are, and all the Lord has created you to become. This is about finding and developing the ‘real you’ !

One of the biggest questions many of us wrestle with at a crucial time is ; ‘Why am I here’ ? Sadly, many troubled by this question have taken their lives because they couldn’t find an answer relevant to them ! The question has a underlying ‘cry’ for purpose and worth. This is why Christ came as a living example and revealed to humanity a bigger God plan and purpose for each individual. An eternal significance to who we are ! In eternal terms, have you thought that you are writing your C.V. through how you live your life, relevant to your eternal vocation ? Whew !

Jesus models this. We only have to look at His position in heaven to see this ; He’s seated at the right hand of the Father.

Act 7:55-56  ( NKJV). (Setting : stoning of Stephen)

But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, (56) and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Romans 8:34  ( NKJV). (God is for us, who’s against us ?)

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Ephesians 1:20  ( NKJV)

. . .which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

Colossians 3:1  ( NKJV)

If then you were raised (to a new life) with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

Hebrews 1:3  ( NKJV)

. . .who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

So here is your challenge today :

1. Ask the Lord to reveal to you why you are here in this particular period of time .

2. Ask Him, what plans He has for you. (He has a plan ; where do you fit)

3. Ask Him what His key purpose and vision is for you to filful. (often referred to as ‘predestination’)

4. Ask Him to reveal His promises and prophecies over your life. Prophecies confirming His plans and purposes for you.

5. Ask Him if there is anything else He wants to reveal to you. Don’t rush this valuable time with Him, even if He’s silent to begin with. Be patient.

6. Write down everything you have received and review them daily throughout this journey.

7. Thank Him for all He has shown you.

Let’s pray,

Father thank you for Your thoughts that are greater than our thoughts and Your ways that are greater than ours. I ask that You take these words and may they become a vision, dream, encouragement and an outline for the reality of Your plans for us. Through this we will discover more about Your intention in us, revealing our true identity. Amen!

Isaiah 55:8-9 ( NKJV)
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. (9) “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
