Are you ready for Re-entry?

The Lord put on my heart this morning the phrase ’Re-entry’.

’Re-entry’ being the day we will be able to go back to work, school, do all our favourite activities and meet with our love ones again. We don’t know when this day will come and sometimes celebrations like re-entry can be filled with mix emotions.

As I reflect, I wonder if this is what the believers and disciples were feeling over 2000 years ago on this very day? The tomb now empty and rumours of Jesus Christ alive. This would have brought about a real mix of emotions, celebration, intrigue, but also fear, guilt and shame. If He was alive what would He say?  What would be His reaction? Or the consequences of what they had done?

As so many had walked away from believing in Him, even denied they knew him at all including His closest disciples.

I believe this is why Jesus chose to meet His believers in different places and ways. He met some individually and others in groups because He knew what they were thinking and what was in their hearts. So He understood where to meet them and what to say.

John 10:27-28 (Passion Translation NT)

27 My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me. 28 I give to them the gift of eternal life and they will never be lost and no one has the power to snatch them out of my hands.

I wonder what emotions we are hiding today? Those things hindering our relationship with Him and others. The things that could restrict us, when re-entry eventually comes.

Whether its fear, guilt, shame or even something else. I believe He wants to meet with you just as He did with the believers on that day.

So here is your challenge today.

Ask the Lord to come and meet you where you are today.

If you are not walking with him, ask him to come into your life.

Maybe say a prayer like;

Lord, I know I am a sinner,

I believe you died on the cross for my sins.

I ask you to come into my heart and manage my life from this day on and be my Lord and Saviour.

Amen

Or

Ask the Lord to meet with you today.

In His way to help with those things that are hindering your relationship with Him or others.

Ask Him also to help you with those things that He knows will restrict you in the new season to come.

Jesus,

I thank you for your voice,

that when you speak to your children may they hear You clearly.

I thank you that You are calling out to so many on this day to come home and into a eternal life.

I ask that you will meet with them today.

As only You Lord know what they are thinking, what is in their hearts and the best place to meet with them.

I ask You Lord will help them today, as only You Lord have the tools to set them free.

Amen
