Welcome back to the last part of our series A Prophetic Word for 2025
Let’s do a quick recap of the last two parts, before we reveal the final part of the revelation of this series.
In our first part of this series, we received a remarkable word, from the Lord for this year ahead- 2025.
It was – A year of remarkable opportunities !
We learnt that this word, came with an invitation, warning and application. As God’s heart is for us all, to receive this word. Then through Him be led to success. So He has given us all we need so this word above, can become reality in our life’s.
We started with the invitation, which came from a request from God. I personally received, as I entered a local church. He said
“Ask me to give you, the desires of your heart and I will grant them”
Then I proposed the following questions:
If God were to show up right now, in front of you and say.
Ask me to give you, the desires of your heart and I will grant them !
Would you know what to ask for ?
Would it be clear and precise ?
Would it be truly what you want or just a random thought, as you know you need to say something or fear missing out ?
For God has already done this for a man called Solomon seen in 2 Chronicles 1:7 (NIV). Because Solomon had a clear and precise answer , one not for himself but for all God’s children. God granted Solomon’s request and upsized it.
‘wisdom and knowledge will be given you And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.” (2 Chronicles 1:12(NIV).
Lastly we looked at the warning !
What happens when the Lord gives opportunities !
We looked at the story of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-13 (NKJV) and concluded with the following.
Yes His will is for everyone to receive and be included. But He also knows that not everyone will be ready. So the ones who a ready will receive and those who are not ready will miss out !
Sadly this is what it will be like, this year, when He releases remarkable opportunities ! (This was God’s warning He passed on to me )
In part two we started looking at the application.
We read from Luke 3:21-22 (TPT)
One day Jesus came to be baptized along with all the others. As he was consumed with the spirit of prayer, the heavenly realm ripped open above him and the Holy Spirit descended from heaven in the visible, tangible form of a dove and landed on him. Then God’s audible voice was heard, saying, “My Son, you are my beloved one. Through you I am fulfilled.”
There is so much to learn in these verses, But the three things I pointed out were :
1. Jesus was consumed with the spirit of prayer,
2. The Holy Spirit descended from heaven in the visible, tangible form of a dove and landed on Him.
3. Then God’s audible voice was heard, saying, “My Son, you are my beloved one. Through you I am fulfilled.”
Then we broke these three things down.
- The entry point to ‘Truly becoming One, with any part of the trinity. The Father, The Son (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit, is prayer. Although not just a standard prayer. But being open to be fully consumed, by the spirit of prayer !
- Once fully consumed, by the spirit of prayer the Holy Spirit has something to land on. The Holy Spirit landed on Jesus for a purpose. The purpose was that they would be come ‘One’.
- As the spirit led Jesus into the wilderness. This is where the marriage of two becoming one, between them happened. As in Luke 4:14 it says: Jesus came out of the wilderness…..empowered by the Holy Spirit. What once was upon, now had become a source or a stream within.
- Lastly the Fathers prophecy “My Son, you are my beloved one. Through you I am fulfilled.” This was the Father confirming who Jesus was, But also that He would one day, be one with Him. Then from this place, Jesus would accomplish the Father’s will.
Which is what we will look at today.
So how did Jesus learn and become one with the Father.
Firstly by being open to be fully consumed, by the spirit of prayer. Then by becoming one with the Holy Spirit. Lastly by regularly slipping away and spending time with the Father. The more time Jesus spent with the Father the closer and more intimate they got, eventually they became one. As Jesus fully surrendered everything ! This transformation was so radical. In Luke 11:1 (TPT) we read
One day, as Jesus was in prayer (spending time with The Father ), one of his disciples came over to him as he finished and said, “Would you teach us a model prayer that we can pray, just like John did for his disciples?”
Then in John 14:8-10 (TPT) we read about the marriage between Jesus and The Father, who are now one.
Philip spoke up, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be all that we need!”Jesus replied, “Philip, I’ve been with you all this time and you still don’t know who I am? How could you ask me to show you the Father, for anyone who has looked at me has seen the Father. Don’t you believe that the Father is living in me and that I am living in the Father? Even my words are not my own but come from my Father, for he lives in me and performs his miracles of power through me.
So Jesus through His 3 years in ministry, became one with The Holy Spirit and then One with The Father. To the point as Jesus says in the above part of scripture. “Even my words are not my own but come from my Father, for he lives in me and performs his miracles of power through me”.
So how is this possible for us to achieve.
Can we really become one with The Holy Spirit and The Father ?
I think Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) gives us the answer.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Here is a question for you.
Who is His righteousness ?
According to the Bible, Jesus is the righteous Son of God who is treated as righteous by God. Because of what he did on the cross.
So this verse above could be read as:
But seek first the kingdom of God through Jesus, and all these things shall be added to you. As Jesus is the doorway to us becoming the righteousness of God. As in 2 Corinthians 5:21 we read.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
So if we seek first the kingdom through the Kings invitation, which is Jesus. We are now, in the right place and posture. To ask and receive, whatever we asked for and more. As our Faith has now led us into the reality of the Kingdom, where all things are possible !
Challenge Time
1 Find some time to slip away. Ask the Father to release upon you, the consuming spirit of prayer.
2. Ask Jesus to lead you into becoming one with Him.
Say a prayer like ‘Jesus” I accept your invitation, to become one with You today. Come upon me and lead me, into truly becoming one, with You and through You. That I may come out, truly empowered by You. I pray this, in Your amazing name Jesus amen.
3. Next ask Jesus to lead you into becoming one with The Father .
Say a prayer like ‘Father I accept your invitation, to becoming one with You today, through Your Son Jesus. Father come upon me and lead me, into truly becoming, one with You and through You. That I may come out, truly empowered by You. I pray this in Jesus name amen.
Father I ask as Your children come to You today ! Will you render the heaven and declare Your word over them as you did with Your Son Jesus. Also release upon and in them the consuming spirit of prayer. Lastly Holy Spirit, Jesus and Father, I pray that all that seek for oneness with you all today. That you will individually, grant this request from them. So they may truly discover what it is like, to be the righteousness of God. Amen
I ask all this in the name above all names Jesus amen.
For those of you, who want to place an offering at the alter or plant a finical seed in the fertile ground of the Lord. Maybe you could contribute in someway towards His House, we are currently building. To equip the saints for ministry, then release His word through them, in a variety of ways.
