God Sees Differently

A few days ago I woke up frustrated. Over the last few weeks, the Lord has been so good to us by allowing us to share messages in the hope it would encourage us all to walk through our season of isolation.
It has been through these messages that we have seen countless lives changed and come to know Christ. He also led us to set a supermarket traffic page on Facebook to keep people in our community safe while shopping. These are only a couple of things He asked us to do, which we have obeyed. However, the question I kept asking myself over and over again was could I have done more?
As I was praying, I started to see many other ideas I could have done through this time of lockdown. This made my frustration worse! I got up and started reading the bible and praying some more. This gave me a sense of peace but unfortunately didn’t answer my question or move the frustration. I shared these thoughts with my wife and she said,“Did the Lord ask you to do those other things? “ I had to admit and replied, ‘No He had not’. What a great wife I have to keep me on track and grounded. The enemy will always undermine what we have done by pointing out our failures and weakness. This way the enemy can distract us by going round and round in circles to places like frustration, but the Lord will always provide life in it’s fullest.John 10:10

New International Version (NIV)

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the fullness.
I was talking to a friend yesterday when the Lord asked me to tell him, ‘Every time you see your daughter smile, I see the Lord smiling at you. What a great picture! The Lord sees differently than we do and something so small means so much to the Lord.Isaiah 55:8 (NKJV)
It’s not the big flash things that impress Him. It’s the little things we do with the right heart that makes him smile. Most of these things are never seen, recognised or acknowledged but God sees them and one day He will reward you for them.Matthew 6:4 (NLT))
Here is your challenge today:

  1. Ask the Lord to show you what He sees is important in your life. The things that make Him smile.
  2. What are the things that are only good ideas, but not for you to do?
  3. Make a choice to lay down the good ideas and fully embrace the things He has shown you that is important.
  4. Thank Him for all He is continuously doing in your life.

Father,
I thank you, as you see and know all things. I ask you, Lord, to help us see more clearly today our direction for this next season
Amen!
