How God Sees Equality-Part 6 – (Co written by Paula Blackie )

We’ve now looked at the Two legs of the Trinity, Love and Mercy and how freewill resides as we choose to see the one or situation in front of us as He does with His heart attitude of Love and Mercy for who they could be.

Today is the last leg – Justice. The dictionary says it is the maintenance or administration of what is just by the impartial adjustment of conflicting claims or the assignment of merited rewards or punishments. Weighty definition right?

Well did you know, Justice flows from God’s heart and character! He is Just and loves Justice!

But it actually has nothing to do with you, your status, position, finances, or even the way you live, it’s totally dependent, and ALL UP TO GOD and His choice to extend Justice to you.

It’s built and founded upon God’s covenant commitment to Israel (His people) to bring salvation, deliverance and freewill into every moment and one, so they can experience greater life and freedom here on earth. There are 2 courts, here on earth and in Heaven:

In the earthly court room, we see one standing before the judge, awaiting a verdict, is so hoping and desperate for favour, fairness, mercy & justice to be given to him. Now this is good, but will the justice offered here lead this one into greater freedom and life? Hmm..

In the Court Room in Heaven, again one is standing before the judge, awaiting a verdict, BUT here God sits as Judge of Truth, Freedom and Justice, listening to the accuser go hard after the sins and failings yes. But waiting for Jesus the redeemer, to take over and advocate us. To remind God, it has already been ‘paid in full by My blood’ therefore, verdict of innocent declared. Will the justice offered here, lead the one to greater freedom and life? Hmm..

What about the woman who wants to do man’s work? She demands equality, the right to be seen and treated equal, but her body make up and design is different, she cries for justice, but isn’t mercy, compassion what she is after? We need to know what we are after!

What about the LGBT community who are seeking to be valued and recognised with equality, the demand to be given the right to chose to be who they want, but aren’t they really wanting to be accepted and heard? Isn’t Love what they are after?
To know what we are after, we need to KNOW God, and intimately know Him, not simply know about Him.

Jesus says “My sheep know My voice and follow Me”

How do we see God here in Exodus 21:12-13? (Do read the whole chapter 21 and know who He is here)

“Anyone who assaults and kills another person must be put to death. But if it was simply an accident permitted by God, I will appoint a place of refuge where the slayer can run for safety.”

Umm how you going with that? Is your mind going God do you know what that person has done? What if you flipped it around and asked God show me what You are seeing or knowing, that we don’t? Because remember we know and see in part, but God knows the big and whole picture.

Let’s selah here, like David did, and ask the Lord to examine and uproot our heart attitude or behaviour, to ones who are different, challenge, prickle or conflict with us, and to things and events, that we don’t agree or align with: God we need You.

“God, I invite Your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through;
find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting way—the path that brings me back to you”. Psalm 139:23-24

You might like to pray “God would You give me a heart which breaks for what breaks Your heart so I can be an agent of change to the one in front of me seeing You” what would that look like God?

Persist, show up, and commit to Praying and seeking the Father’s Heart and Will no matter what. And remember to Give Thanks continually to God, for He is worthy of all Glory, Honour and Praise.

Father thank You for this amazing journey of transformation we are on. That as You have drawn us closer to You, we’re also closer to Your well, thoughts and ways. Would you give us the help and courage to play our part in re-establishing and applying what we’ve learnt from this day forth. In Jesus name. Amen
