I woke up with this thought this morning. On this day over 2000 years ago people were waking up on a new day as we are today. Jesus now dead buried in a tomb, the disciples and people that had believed in Jesus scattered. All in a place of dissolution, with so many questions and a lack of understanding. The Pharisees and devil thought they had won. Even humanity was in despair and a gloomy darkness covered the earth.
But in this time when God was not seen, He was still at work.
He had a plan, a purpose and passion for the whole world through His son. For He is always good and never shocked at anything that comes His way. He had been expecting, awaiting for this day and the days to come for along time.
So could it be the same today ? In this season we and the world is currently in today?
Maybe, just maybe He has been awaiting this season we are in for along time and the days to come too.
One thing I know for sure is that He has a plan, a purpose and passion for His people in this season of isolation we are in. For He is always good and His Love endures for ever.
Romans 8:28 (Passion Translation NT)
28 So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.
So here is your challenge today.
Take some time out on this day to ask the Lord to show you how this season we are in, has been woven into your life for a reason by him.
Maybe allow the mysteries of this season we are in to lead you through the Holy Spirit into a deeper understanding of His goodness and love for you and others.
Maybe join me in the following prayer
Father I know and declare today in this time we are in. When a gloomy darkness has covered the earth and has lead many to a place of despair. Two things I choose today to stand on are your word and your promise for me. For you are still in control and still at work. You are in the unseen working all things out for good for
those who love you and are called according to your purpose and plan for a greater tomorrow. I declare that includes me and ……………( add in those you love )
Amen
