For the past few months I have started my day in a new way. I awake, but don’t get straight up. Instead I spend 20-30mins in prayer for others. As I was in this time with the Lord this morning. The Lord spoke to me He said “do you know how effective your prayers are”
These few words made me think. So I ask you today the same question.
Do you really know how effective your prayers are ?
The Lord showed me a vision of my prayers and what happens when I pray. As I prayed for protection His blood was washing over the people I was praying for. It did not matter whether they were saved or not. Those prayers of hope a light was released over these people. In fact every prayer that I spoke I saw a powerful release in the spirit that landed on the person I was prayed for.
Now I know I am not any more special than you to God.
(In fact the Lord says to me often “Craig it’s not about you “ I love the ways He keeps us humble )
I know He was showing me these things to share with you ! Why ?
So you can learn that your prayers are powerful, essential and vital to His overall plan for all of us.
Paul says it this way in
1 Corinthians 12:22 (Passion Translation NT)
22 In fact, the weaker our parts, the more vital and essential they are.
Paul is talking about the body of Christ. He is recognising and honouring those who don’t think they have a significant role in life as they don’t have a major position in ministry, community or their country. But Paul says they are the ones the Lord sees as vital and essential. Why because together they make up the majority, So together they hold the greatest power to see things change. How ?
By praying.
I believe every prayer you pray is powerful, it releases in the spirit a move of God.
James 5:16 (NIV)
….. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
So here is today’s challenge,
1.Find sometime and pray for others, allow the Holy Spirit to increase your prayer list while you are in prayer.
2. Ask the Lord to show you what happens in the spirit when you pray and how effective your prayers are !
3. Thank Him for He is always faithful to the very end.
Father I ask that you show your children today. How powerful their prayers are ! That you see them as vital and essential to your plan. That together they are powerful in your eyes ! Amen
