Did you know that the Lord trusts you more than you trust yourself

Did you know that the Lord trusts you more than you trust yourself

This statement is I believe the start to part  Five of our series.

How do we, renew our minds and change how we think?

As the thought that the Lord trusts us, is so often completely different than what we think or believe.

You maybe saying

How could the Lord trust me, as I still make mistakes, slip up and sin and are far from perfect !

The very fact that you understand all this, is why He trust you !

What you may say!

How can that be true “

Well it reveals the one thing the Lord is looking for, to release Himself into and onto.

Let me explain, the Lord already knew you would be where you are and struggling with all you do.

That’s why He sent His Son to die for you !

Also why, Jesus endured all He did for you !

All you have to do is look at the ones Jesus chose to be His disciples. To see that He does not choose the ones who are perfect .

As look at all the baggage His 12 disciples had, when they were chosen and walked with Him with.

That did not stop Him choosing them and trusting His power to them.

In fact Jesus response, after seeing what the 12  disciples did and how they acted . Actually  led him to choose and entrust His power to another 72. (Luke 10 )

This is the same with you and me ! He does not want to trust His power and authority to one that has everything sorted. As in fact most people that look like this. Have the same problems we do, but keep them covered, so no one can see  them.

Now I am not judging these people for doing this.  As firstly we have no authority to judge only the Lord does. But I know what I have said  is true from my own experience  both personally and by walking with others.

Also we see it through the scripture with people  like David.  Who seems to have it all together.  Then in another moment a weakness hidden led him to do something. The people around him and under his authority, as their king. Would have never thought possible by him.

The very fact you think you are not worthy, is the reason He has chosen you to trust.

When we understand this Truth it will set you free.

In John 8:31-32 (NKJV) we read this revelation from Jesus. The Truth Shall Make You Free.

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” This teaching that He is teaching the Jews is also true for us too (Gentiles).

The very fact you can see your sin, mistakes and failures, puts you in the understanding of your need for a saviour. Do you remember  when Jesus was tested by the scribes and Pharisees about the adulterous woman ?  It’s  found  earlier in John 8

Let’s read it, starting with verse 7  (NKJV)

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

Jesus knew there was only one in this crowd, who could declare he had no sin and that was Him.

Let’s continue reading with verse 8

Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

Watch what happens next

As this  is what we have been talking about above.

John 8:10 (NKJV)

When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

What an interesting question ! Was Jesus puzzled over the fact, no people had stayed, condemned and stoned her ?  I think not, He was just helping  this lady to see the Truth of the situation around her ! What happens when the Truth is standing in front of her ! And this Truth was about to set her free.

Let’s finish here for today.

Next time we will conclude the journey of the end and the beginning of life for this woman. As we walk towards the understanding and discovery. That the Lord trusts us more than we trust ourselves.

Challenge Time

  1. Spend some time in worship and praise. To get your heart and mind into the prospective of the Kingdom.
  2. Ask the Lord to reveal to you, all He has entrusted you with ?  Write these things down.
  3. Now take each thing you have written down.  Ask Him how He wants you to use it. Write down His answers.
  4. Now take one thing at a time and start using it  the way He showed you. Then add another once this one has become a lifestyle.
  5. Time for thanking Him and giving Him praise.

Father I thank You for everything you are doing and calling us, as Your children to be a part of ! I pray for everyone who will read this message. That You will reveal to them all you have entrusted them with. Then clearly show them how to use it. So that Your Kingdom will be see more clearly on the earth. I ask this in Jesus name Amen
