My appointment and endorsement- Of the role or office of a Prophet – Part Five

I have so many testimonies of how His word passed on at the exact moment needed, has brought about healing, deliverance, strengthening, strategic ideas, wisdom, breakthroughs and even miracles.

But to be honest I also have stories of how people who have decided not to be obedient to His word and great loss has come from it. This really grieves my heart. I shared one of these stories with you in our last part. My man reason for this was to show, it does not always turn out the way you think it will. When you bring a word or prophetic direction or wisdom to the ones the Father is asking you too.

As a prophet I have found as much as I have seen incredible break throughs, life’s changed or transformed. Churches and business completely turn around and thriving. I have also seen great loss, death, disappointment and destruction. As you read through the bible you will see this too. Some heeded the word of the Lord from the prophets and others did not. In our last part I touched on how His word led Saul and David in completely opposite directions.

It is still the same today. So how did/do I manage to walk through these painful moments of life ? How did/do I pick up the courage to carry on in the role the Lord appointed me in ?

Today I am going to share this with you. My prayer is that it will help others to navigate, the journey they are on as a prophet or one of the other roles Christ has called His chosen to do and be.

To be honest I struggle with these memories, moments and would carry these defeats with me and mourn over them. Until one day when the Lord spoke to me one of the greatest revelational words I have ever heard as a prophet.

The Lord said to me, my role as a prophet is to be obedient and deliver His word. If I do not, then the consequence was on me. But if I do deliver the word at time and in the way He said then my job is done.

The rest is up to the people or person who receive it. This changed my life for ever ! It took the pressure off me, the pressure I was not meant to have or carry in the first place. But due to immaturity I had allowed myself to excepted the enemy’s words. That if the person did not received the word and the completion happens it was my fault.

But in reality I had and never should have had anything else to do with the word except my role. To deliver it or else I would be working out of the wrong spirit, of manipulation or control which is from the Enemy not God.

For the Lord has given us all freedom of choice. As a prophet your role is to hear Him, then take what He has given you and deliver it they way He says to do it. Like a postman or a courier. Placing it in the receivers hands.

There is a interesting story in 1Kings 13 about a Prophet who was sent to bring a message the a people and he did what the Lord ask him to do, But was led astray by not doing all He was asked to do ! And sadly He was killed by a lion. So being a prophet has incredible responsibilities, But the rewards are amazing too.

So if you are called by Jesus to be a prophet, then you don’t really have a choice if you want to be obedient to the Lord. You need to deliver His word in and out of season, whether you feel like it or not and in the way He says with no exceptions . For you were specially chosen for a role, by Jesus Himself.

Yes mourn for those who don’t obey His word, But you are not called to stay there, But to get up and carry on as there many more assignments He has for you to do.

This is why the Father told Samuel get up and go in 1 Samuel 16:1

Now the LORD said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”

Samuel had to choose, would he sit and mourn for Saul or get up and do what the Lord ask Him to do. We all know the answer He went.

As prophets this is what we are called to do too. Yes we may carry past hurts, But we are called to get up and deliver His word.

Let’s leave it there for today and next time I will share a common mistake that leads to burn out in the five fold ministry.

Father I pray for all your chosen prophets today, the ones dishearten, by delivering Your messages and it being reject. Would you comfort them, strength and re position them to fulfil their role appointed by them by Your Son amen
