So let’s recap from part 1.
Jesus said in John 6:53-54, that unless we eat His flesh and drink His blood, we have no life; whoever eats His flesh and drinks His blood has eternal life. In other words, Jesus’ flesh and blood are the reality of the Tree of Life that gives us eternal life. Jesus also taught us how to eat His flesh and drink His blood.
This very action, acknowledges what He did. It placed the fruit that Adam and Eve ate, back on the tree, then places Jesus back on the throne of our life’s and thanks Him for eternal life, which because of Him is now possible . For those who accept Christ can possess life “here and now” as well as in eternity, for they have “passed from death to life”, as explained in John 5:24. Eternal Life starts at this place and can be ours forever. For He died for us and paid the full price for the tree of Life (Him ) to be placed back in the garden of Eden. Eden symbolizes a rich and fertile place of unbroken fellowship with Him.His greatest desire for us.
So when we eat from the tree of life (Jesus ) we are not only receiving His DNA into us that transforms us
Romans 12:2
, …but being inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think.
But also a seed of a tree is plant into Him in us also,
Why ?
I think the passion translation explains this so well as it explains not only the fruit from the tree of Life. but also the outworking we received through us for others.
Galatians 5:22
But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:
joy that overflows,
peace that subdues,
patience that endures,
kindness in action,
a life full of virtue,
faith that prevails,
gentleness of heart, and
strength of spirit.
Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.
We become a tree for others to come and eat from !
As they eat !
They intern receive the DNA from Him and a seed of Him to do it again. For He only entrusts His people with what will benefit not just themselves, but all.
1 Corinthians 12:7
Each believer is given continuous revelation by the Holy Spirit to benefit not just himself but all.
The tree of life is in the garden at the beginning of the Bible and in the New Jerusalem at the end of the Bible. The tree of life appears in a description in Revelation 22 of people enjoying eternal life with God.
The amazing thing is we get to betake of it now too. This is why we read
John 10:10
A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!
So let me finish with this last point ! As explained by Jesus in the above verse ! Both the tree’s are back in front of you ! Satan is still trying to tempt us to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and Jesus awaiting for us to betake of the tree of Life (Him). The Father does this for He values and Loves you to much. To take the one thing He has given us ! Freewill or a choice to choose. Jesus waits for us to choose and satan tries to tempt, lie and sway us to choose. Satan commands us to worship him and the Father says the choice is yours ? The first is without love and the second fully express’s Love, for He is Love.
So both trees are in-front of you, the choice is yours, so choose wisely. For as it was with Adam and Eve, your choice will change the course of history too.
Father I thank you for allowing us the choice !
Father I know that You call heaven and earth as witnesses today. That You have set before us life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore I choose life. For both myself and my descendants; that I and they may love You, LORD, our God, with all our heart,will and might. We declare I will obey Your voice, and we will cling to You , for You are life, ever ending in it fullness Amen
