Last time we looked at the master, his return and response to his servants. Jesus response. ‘Enter into the joy of your Lord.’ or ‘The Fathers Happiness ’ (depending on bible version you are using ), which I believe is another meaning of the Kingdom of God!
We saw the Father worked in Faith, He protected both the two who invested His investment. They worked together to create an amazing result (100% profit). Now because of this, when He returned He welcomed them into the kingdom. But the one that did nothing, did not even try, was crippled by fear, loss everything!
Let’s continue with this thought and question by Jesus. …….But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” (Luke 18:8). It’s interesting to think this verse can and is usually taken in two ways when Jesus eventually returns as we see in Revelations or maybe when we die. He will come and take us up into heaven. I believe both are correct. Yet I also believe He is also talking about another time. This being every time He visits us in the Spirit, so that we can be promoted by the Father. At different times throughout our life and eventually judged which the Bible says happens at the end of time.
Now, the “Lord” I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit, and wherever he is Lord, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17)
Yes get and keep your eyes on Jesus and watch carefully ! As you read through the gospels you see Jesus’s life alway continually reveal the Father and Himself as one.
It follows one test after another, with each providing an opportunity for promotion. From Him growing up, His earthy father dying, stepping out leaving His mother and close friends. Then choosing to lay down relationships, provision, in fact everything for His (Heavenly )Father. To Him then getting Baptised and entering the desert to fast 40 days and 40 nights, being tempted by satan. Doing His first miracle when asked by His mother (water to wine.) Accepting all that came to Him, appointing disciples and then anointing His closest apostles. Being put aside by all, beaten, betrayed and disowned by His own Heavenly Father as he died on a cross. Here He did as the servants in our parable of the talent, He gave 100% of Himself.
He was promoted through resurrection and proved a way for us to do the same too.
Let leave it there for today ! Next time we will look at Two invitational questions The first question
1. Is do we want this remarkable gift?
2. Are we truly willing to give all we have for it ?
But grab your journal and let touch on a few areas to help us all grow in faith, wisdom and understanding! Through a personal encounter with Jesus !
Let’s finish today with. Prayer !
Will you join me !
Father I choose today to open my whole life to You. Father will You completely fill me today with Your Holy Spirit. I renounce any area of my life that You are not Lord in. In doing so I receive Your promise that I will receive freedom in these area’s of my life.
I choose to draw close to You, with the veil removed from my eyes and faces. And with no veil, I know accord to Your word. That Iwill become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of You Lord Jesus. I know from this, I will be transfigured into Your very image, as I move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration only comes from from You my Lord and savour, who is the Spirit. I Thank You for this Amen (2 Corinthians 3:17-18)
Take a moment and record anything your receive from Him.
