In preparing my heart one morning before going to a local church, the Lord lead me to Job 42, the last chapter where Job is totally healed and resorted, physically, mentally and spiritually. This verse stood out to me, a defining moment for Job, one that even though it’s 17 words, has so much written into it: a synopsis of all the previous chapters in one line.
I wonder have you ever had one of these moments with God? When His plan, purpose and will become real then ours! Let’s read Job’s discernment
Job 42:5 (NKJV)
“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You”.
This reminds me of another great man of God Moses, and His moment let’s read about it
Exodus 33:18-23 (NIV)
“Then Moses said, “Now show me Your glory.”
And the Lord said, “I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim My name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But,” he said, “you cannot see My face, for no one may see Me and live.”
Then the Lord said, “There is a place near Me where you may stand on a rock. When My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove My hand and you will see My back; but My face must not be seen.”
Both these moments for Job and Moses show that the very space and place in their walk with the Lord is what redefines who they are and what they are here for. They are two of the best scripture for us to understand teaching like Paul’s letter to the Romans in 12:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”.
I believe this is the same invitation from the Lord for all of us, yet because we live in a different world than Moses and Job did. Their world because of the Law had many restriction, laws and customs to one’s personal walk with God. The Father never intended it to be this way, but because of the sin in the garden of Eden and decisions of people like Exodus 20:19
Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”(NKJV). When God’s chosen people decided to build a bridge between them and God called Moses. This was their choice not God’s intention.
Also He did not want or intend the people to have a human king.
1 Samuel 8:6-7
“They said to him, “You (Samuel the prophet) are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.” But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD And the LORD told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king”.
The Lord did not even want the people to have judges but His people chose evil by worshiping heathen gods, and the Lord allowed them to fall into the hands of their enemies. Judges were then raised up by the Lord to deliver them. Regardless of all this the Father would find ways to reveal Himself to those who allowed Him too. But because of all the laws and customs it made it harder and harder for the people, but remember this was because of past generations their choices.
For now here’s your challenge today.
1. As the Father How do I see You? And write down what He shows you!
2. Now as Him Father reveal yourself to me ? Write down what He shows you.
3. This is where you have a choose ! It’s freewill time ! Something that the Father treats as absolute- 100% foundational part of His relationship with you. You can either have what He showed you ‘how you see Him or How who reveal He is to you ? In most there is a remarkable different even if we have known Him for a long time

4. If you’re happy with how you see him that’s ok ! But if you want to replace your default of who He is the pray this prayer Father I choose to lay down how I see You……………………..(read out what you saw) and I choose to pick up who You reveal to me You are (read out what He reveal to you His truly is)
