Welcome to our new series all on Diversification, this is a weighty and now word and the heart the Father has ‘for He makes ALL things new” New Wine is what He is desiring and offering to each and every one who is willing to PICK UP and DRINK the NEW WINE of Him and His Presence.
So when I look at the word diversification, I get this sense for some it can be a distraction and/ or a way to destruction. And to others an incredible opportunity, breakthrough which holds a multitude of rewards.
Diversification in essence is a MAKE OR BREAK WORD.
We know our God is the same yesterday and today (Hebrews 13:8) and also that He is no respecter of person (Romans 2:1) Amen!
But WHY? Well if we see distraction through the heart and mind as the grass greener over the fence and take it at face value we will be led by SELF – agenda, provision, promotion, which can lead to SELF distraction and destruction, a bit like a gambler who is always looking for the big win,
James 1:8 (NKJV) says “he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways”.
We can see these ones in the bible and in our own journeys right? Those who were ALL in for God and things didn’t happen as expected, hearts hardened, pride came in, fear of man etc, and compromise enters, the moving of the line in the sand until all boundaries and absolute dedication, devotion and adoration to God and His way is eradicated and the old remains. I’m thinking of many of the kings who’s love for God grew cold.. hmm.
Have you wondered why? Why aren’t they in first love with the Lord? How and why came the distraction? What happened to that Love they had for Him? A picture of diversification.
Yet hallelujah! We see those who ‘set their face like flint and fix their eyes on Jesus and led Him lead them His Way, in the bible and those in our journeys who started all in passionate and fired up with God and have continued all in with God, they remained joined, focused, trusted, committed, leaned into the new way, and God bought them to a beautiful place through it. I’m thinking of Ruth, Rahab, Amos.
We have met these ones to in our life, probably also coming to mind, and we know they are FULLY all in for Jesus, with Jesus, in First love with God, they are focused, aligned, flourishing in the Lane God has given them, and bringing the Kingdom here on Earth. Another picture of diversification.
Here we learn the Key: If we are led by the Lord to Diversification, it now has everything required to become a beautiful outcome.
I believe this is why the Lord has given me Isaiah 43:19 for this message:
“I am doing something brand new, something unheard of.
Even now it sprouts and grows and matures.
Don’t you perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and open up flowing streams in the desert”.
If the Lord is doing a new thing and we want it, we will be called to lay down all of the old, not diversify or adapt the old thing, as that means it’s the same thing disguised as something different.
Key: The new thing has nothing to do with the old thing!
Let’s pause there and pick up part 2 next time.
Challenge: Grab your journal and space to be with the Lord and record all He says as you Ask Him.
1. God do I believe that diversification is a MAKE or BREAK word? Why? What do You say it is for me in this season I am in?
2. God would You remove all UNSTABLE ways (doubting, in then out, uncertainty, fear of man, fear of failure etc) from me so I can hear You and Your New Way that is led by Holy Spirit into the NEW?
3. God is there anywhere I am not experiencing a beautiful outcome in my life? Would You do what only You can do and breathe beauty and life there?
4. God, today I lay down all OLD wine skin of (self, thoughts, plans, things I do) to pick up and wear all NEW wine skin You have for me. Thank You Father Thank You Jesus Thank You Holy Spirit.
