Welcome back to the final part, last time we were reminded He hungers for us to Live in the presence, so that we can hear and receive everything He has for us or for us to pass onto others. We left off with this thought of do we Honour the instructions? See the Instructions? Open the Instructions and then Follow the Instructions? Or do we rush in like a bull in a china shop, model Frank Sinatra of “I did it my way’ instead of ‘God we did it Your way’ Hmm?
We know the importance of instructions, yet are we open to receiving them and waiting for understanding around them?
This is the same with the words, messages, dreams, vision we received from the Lord, without the instruction we will end up frustrated, disillusioned and will even give up!
Proverbs 3:5-6 (TPT)
Wisdom’s Guidance (look it up but here’s the last line) and it hits hard!
“Don’t think for a moment that you know it all”
I love the last line of this version ‘Don’t think for a moment that you know it all’
If I am honest this thought has tripped me up so many times, How about you?
The scriptures say we only know in part! (1 Corinthians 13:9) so to know in full we need to ask for His wisdom!
James 1:5, NIV: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you”.
Now with a lot of kit set instructions today being translated from Chinese or other languages they can be somewhat interesting to read, which can be the same with the Lords instructions to, as they are not always clear to us. For He speaks in different ways in different seasons, all part of His plan to grow and strengthen you, or do relationship with Him.
I mean this, that the word you get may be for you, but through the journey it will impact others, or the leading maybe for others but know this, on the journey it will be a life changing experience for you. As it is with our own body IF ONE THING CHANGES IT HAS AN IMPACT EITHER GOOD OR BAD on all the other parts of the body!
1 Corinthians 12:27 (TPT)
One Body
“You are the body of the Anointed One, and each of you is a unique and vital part of it”.
This is why it is so important not to act in hurry and rush unless He asks you too, but to be open for not only receiving the word, but also BEING WILLING TO WAIT ON HIM FOR THE INSTRUCTIONS TOO.
For even though we may have the best intentions, we know that even the best of intentions can miss the Lord’s way and lead to massive opposite outcome of the Plan the Lord had. Remember Saul.. Read up in 1 Samuel 13:11-14
Here’s a brief summary, Samuel had previously told Saul that he was to go to Gilgal and wait seven days for Samuel to come and then offer sacrifices to the Lord (see 1 Samuel 10:8). But Saul was not diligent with the word he received through the prophet Samuel, from the Lord and the consequences where big and far reaching.
However with the Lord’s instructions we will always end up in FULL COMPLETION, with Life Change, and giving GLORY TO HIM, who is the One who trusted us with the word.
He GETS THE GLORY and we GET TO BE APART of the GLORIOUS OUTCOME.
Hallelujah, what an Amazing Father we have right?
Challenge Time:
- Holy Spirit do I honour and value the body that I am connected with?
- If not Holy Spirit today would You help me show honour to the body that I’m connected with.
- Holy Spirit do I ask for the instructions before I move on any words given by You in my personal, ministry, or business life?
- Choice: Today Holy Spirit I choose to look to You and ask You for instructions and wait for You to give them to me before I move, I choose to Wait on You, and as I wait I give You the worship that You alone are Worthy of. Amen.
Praise Time, play it loud and exalt the Name of our God who deserves All Glory and Honour simply because of who He is
Father God, we declare from this moment we make a line in the sand, that says before we move on any words from you for us or others, we will seek You for Your instructions for how and when to proceed, and in the WAIT we will whole heartedly worship You for You alone get All the Glory by Your goodness we get to be part of the Glorious Outcome that You will reveal in Your timing. In Jesus Name. Amen.
