What is your faith costing you? These were the words the Lord asked me the other day and to be honest this comment made me stop and think. For I know that every word from Him is sent to accomplish an intended purpose,. In Romans 8:28 it says His purpose is for good, and this sums up Jesus’ entire story in few words, which we see in John 10:10.
In John 10:10, His Faith cost Him everything, but opened up an incredible reward, opportunity and invitation for those to come.
So back to the question, what is your faith costing you?
I believe to really explore this question we need to unpack something first being What is Faith? Do you know and can you explain it? Faith is the currency of heaven!
The bible says “without faith it’s impossible to please God” (Hebrew 11:6) in fact there is a whole chapter on the subject of FAITH, have you read it? It’s Hebrew 11

The Power of Bold Faith
“Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen”.
In simple words Faith is the entry point to see the reality of realms unseen, even if they are in another location, dimension or heavens. Pause here and take it in.
The next 35 verses of this chapter tell us the story of the faith of those who paid a cost before us! Once they understood the cost of Faith and they freely gave it for us! (37……..They lost everything they possessed, they endured great afflictions, and they were cruelly mistreated.
Remind you of Jesus? Wow! But their not Jesus, yes you’re right, although they were not Jesus they were all part of the Fathers plan.
The chapter ends with a remarkable statement, that if we can capture it’s fullness makes the cost to us so worth it! For I believe the Lord loves to reveal reward before it’s in our position. So let’s read
Hebrews 11:39-40 (TPT)
These were the true heroes, commended for their faith, yet they lived in hope without receiving the fullness of what was promised them.
“But now God has invited us to live in something better than what they had—faith’s fullness! This is so that they could be brought to finished perfection alongside of us”.
Do you see it? T nohey paid a cost for their faith! Then each passed it on for the next to see it increase, until You and me! We have been given the most remarkable, incredible and precious gift of all. THE FAITH AND FAITH’S FULNESS!
Ok what does this mean? We are the ones that have been given the roles, gifts, talents and authority to write the last chapter. How is with our lives, actions and most importantly, with our Faith.
So what do we have that the previous generations before us described in Hebrews 11. Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is through what Jesus did at the cross in His death, resurrection and freely departing for another Called the Holy Spirit.
When we LIVE A LIFE FULLY SURRENDERED, YIELDED to Him and EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, then we have everything we need to write the final chapter in words and witness. Selah there, then keep going.
Like anything that counts it will cost you one thing!
Hang on you say haven’t we given so much on the journey already, what’s left?
Yes you have, BUT the Father asks two more things of you.: Your life and Freewill!
The cost is great but as you can see from what I have explained already the reward always outweighs the cost. Faith’s fullness, so that they (the ones that came before us) can be brought to the finished perfection alongside us.
Let me end with the question that we started with What is your faith costing you?
Today grab your journal, make time to sit with the Holy Spirit, and ask this question, you’ll have the answer and decisions to make with what He says. Are you ready, willing to be sold out for your family, neighbour, community, nation and world to know the Way, Truth and Life – no other name but Jesus saves!
Please have confidence in KNOWING that all of Heaven, ones who’ve gone before you, and we are cheering you on in your faith journey in becoming who God purposed you to be as His beloved child fully surrendered and empowered by the Holy Spirit so you can write the final chapter in words and witnesses of what your faith is costing you, so they who see, can count the cost and BE ALL IN for Jesus too?

Beautiful Jesus! thank You that You remind us the cost of bold and sold out Faith to the Father’s Will and Way, will cost us everything, but wow the rewards, opportunities and invitations that follow make it so worth it to us and the ones who come after us. Holy Spirit would you empower us to live yielded to the Father in all we are and do, for His glory and name sake. Amen.
